The Ecovis and OWWF Bavaria event ‘ChancenWelt - Ausland’ (World of Opportunity - Abroad) took place at the Ecovis headquarters in Munich. The focus was on tapping into international business opportunities, with a particular emphasis on Central and Eastern Europe. Around 20 experts from 12 countries were available to answer participants' questions and facilitate an intensive exchange on tax, legal and economic issues.
Aim and significance of the event
The growing interest in business opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe due to increasingly problematic relations with China and the loss of the Russian market was the reason for this meeting. Ecovis offered the participants a platform to gain expert knowledge and make valuable contacts. Companies planning to enter foreign markets were able to find out about country-specific features and gain first-hand insights into the current market situation.
The event began with a welcome address by Ecovis board member Alexander Weigelt, who gave a presentation on the global activities of ECOVIS. Vice President Hermann Pönisch then briefly explained the activities of the OWWF from its foundation in 1968 to the present day.
In the following round of Ecovis partner countries, information was provided about the political, economic and legal situation in the respective countries. Particular emphasis was always placed on the great interest in business relations with Germany.
Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to make contacts in a relaxed atmosphere over a buffet. The experts present were available to answer individual questions and discuss issues, which deepened the exchange and promoted networking.
The event was a great success and highlighted the growing importance of Central and Eastern Europe as economic partners. The opportunity to talk directly to experts from different countries and to clarify specific questions was particularly appreciated.
‘ChancenWelt – Ausland’ has inspired participants to develop new international perspectives and offers a promising basis for future cooperation.
