China is positioning itself as a high-tech and innovation location in order to become the leading industrial nation in central technological fields of the future by 2049. In addition to the existing infrastructure, state and local investment incentives play a role in the choice of location in China. These incentives are offered in particular to companies from so-called key technologies and can vary greatly from region to region.
