For 14 years the couple Hey have been organizing manifold and effective help in the poor post-Soviet, Central Asian state of Kyrgyzstan, be it in the health sector, be it in the social sector with mini pensions, be it help for abused women who find refuge in the women's shelter Sezim founded by the Kyrgyzstan Aid in the BOG.

On this evening, Dr. Hey will report on how the country has developed politically and economically over the past year and on what has been achieved in the aid project. Dr. Frenzel, who visited the women's shelter in the summer, made a moving film about the lives of the women in care and their children. The interview with two residents as well as the furnishings and surroundings of the newly rented building can be heard and seen. The film will be shown this evening.

Due to their age and health, the married couple Hey would like to end their personal commitment after 14 years, and since there is no successor in sight, they are anxious to secure the existence of the women's shelter permanently without further help from BOG. By purchasing a suitable house in Bishkek, the basis for the future is to be laid. Details about this courageous and sustainable project will be presented and discussed to the visitors of the evening.
