The German automotive industry and its many European suppliers are facing a major challenge with regard to emissions and driving bans. The political discourse touches on the future of an industry that has made Germany more internationally competitive and successful than others. China is a strong technological driver of electromobility and at the same time a future market for low-emission vehicles. The debate about the future of mobility affects not only Germany, but the whole of Europe. Automobile manufacturers and their suppliers are now regarded by many as one of the causes of climate change. The discussion about this is highly emotional on both sides. Is Germany endangering one of its most important economic sectors?
Together with representatives from politics and business, we will discuss the reasons and possible consequences, but also the opportunities, of the current debate. The OstWestWirtschaftsForum Bayern invites to this event in order to discuss the possible consequences for our business location together with industry and politics.
