After our successful event "Building new bridges in difficult times" we want to deepen the information about Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. This year's general meeting (open to guests) will also take place on this occasion.

We are pleased that Jens Böhlmann, who returned from a visit to Tashkent/Uzbekistan during this event and was able to report on his impressions, will be available to us as a speaker. He will take a fresh look at new markets, especially the countries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The Directorate for SMEs at the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations serves as a contact point and interface across countries and regions, primarily for medium-sized and family-run German companies. It assists in the respective target region with market information, contact initiation and mediation with local political decision-makers and companies. The work is strongly practice- and project-oriented. This is why the new contact point for the Green Deal in the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations is located at the Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. In this context, we see the Central Asian states as important partners of the EU.
