In Sofia, VP Pönisch met Prof. Dr. Palmen Kenarov at the Medical University of Sofia. Prof. Kenarov is a leading scientist in the field of aferesis (blood washing) and together with Prof. Dr. Ivan Ivanov, head of the "Advanced Control System Laboratory" at the Sofia University of Technology, has developed and tested a prototype that pursues a new approach of the Aferes and gives rise to great hopes in the treatment of many diseases.
Prof. Kenarov and Prof. Ivanov wish to cooperate closely with German scientists and in the development and production of market-ready devices. VP Pönisch has already contacted specialists in Bavaria via the TWI Institute.
