What's new?

Almost 70 participants followed an interesting and informative event. Minister of State Melanie Huml and Consul General Yuriy Yarmilko emphasized in their greetings the importance of Ukraine for Europe and the reforms that have been implemented since the signing of the EU - Ukraine Association Agreement. The Maidan has initiated the democratization of the country with the motto: "We want to live free and independent European values as a good neighbour to Russia". We need Ukraine as a "bridge".


Klaus Kessler, Rödl & Partner, is known as a knowledgeable expert on Ukraine. In his presentation (presentation here) he showed the progress of the last years and gave a very positive report to the development. There is - despite the constant disturbances of the eastern neighbour - no reason to refrain from doing business in or with Ukraine.


Sergiy Tsvikach, director of Ukraine Invest, talks about the various possibilities of supporting business settlements in Ukraine and especially points out the many advantages that are offered to companies in Ukraine (presentation here)


Karl Walter, as a committed friend of Ukraine, has built up the Bavarian House in Odessa and launched many initiatives there. In the OWWF Bavaria he represents the Ukraine as a country consultant. His personal background enables him in his presentation of a SWOT (Strength - Weakness) analysis (presentation here) to make concrete statements about the advantages and risks, in particular also an assessment of the Russian plans.


In the panel Mrs. Martina Maschauer, Managing Director Bayern International reported about the activities of her company assigned to the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and about upcoming projects; Michael Kraus, Managing Director Eastern Europe of FIXIT TM Holding GmbH about the uncomplicated and extremely successful establishment of production facilities, by the way from Warsaw, where he just made a stopover after a visit to Ukraine. Consul Shevchenko complemented the statements of the previous speakers with detailed information.
