A packed hall ‘Munich’ at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft was evidence of the great interest in the joint event organised by the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the OA Eastern Committee of German Business, the vbw Association of Bavarian Business and the OWWF Bavaria.
Alena Akulich from the OA moderated the event.
The host Bertram Brossardt took over the welcoming address, emphasising the necessity for Bavaria, as an export state, to open up new markets.
H.E. Ambassador Nasimi Aghayev referred to the already existing contacts and economic ties, which Azerbaijan also wants to strengthen with new offers.
In his welcoming address, Minister of State and OWWF Vice President Eric Beißwenger focused on the opportunities that could arise from cooperation between Bavaria and Azerbaijan. He had already received the Azerbaijani delegation for an informal discussion in the Bavarian State Chancellery.
The presentation of the partly already established free trade area ‘Alat free economic Zone’ was taken over by the chairman of the board Valeh Alasgarov.
He pointed out the special advantages of this free trade area:
- Unique and investor-friendly legal framework
- Strategic geographical location and favourable connections by sea, road and air
- Comprehensive package of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives
- Fully developed and immediately usable commercial properties
